As adventurous travelers, we absolutely loved the free kayaks and paddle boards provided by the hotel. The beach was stunning and perfect for water activities. The restaurant offered a diverse menu with both Thai and Mediterranean cuisine, and the view of the sea from the restaurant was breathtaking. The breakfast spread was delicious and had plenty of options. The staff was attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay.

We felt most welcome during our entire stay at the hotel, and had no complaints whatsoever.

Great location. Great facility and grounds with beautiful landscaping. Nice, clean, well-sized rooms. Excellent restaurant and bar. Really friendly staff with high level of service.

They could use a few more people on staff, particularly at the bar.

We loved Zazen. As honeymooners, it was the perfect spot to unwind from the chaos of the wedding. The facitilies were incredible, especially the spa. We had a wonderful stay.

Our only complaint was that Zazen seemed a little pricey compared to other spots in Koh Sumai.

This is by far the best resort we have been to - it suited us perfectly. The resort has a beautiful design, with stunning decoration in its general areas. The tropical grounds are immaculately manicured, creating a serene ambience. As a senior person, I found the hotel to be easily accessible, with convenient facilities and friendly staff who were always available to assist me.

The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to provide additional assistance for mobility-impaired guests.

Worst treatment ever upon check-out! We have been forced to pay 1.500 Baht (approx. 40 eur) for a laundry bag that we took in order to bring home some dirty clothes. There was no advise about this price anywhere in the hotel. We have been treated like thieves since suddenly after we left the room, some staff went in the room to check everything and they let us run in delay on our schedule until we paid what we asked. Terrible experience which has ruined our honeymoon and made useless all the good work made by the staff. This is a greedy hotel! Avoid it if possible.

Our Bungalow opened right on the beach. Truly a wonderful resort, romantic setting, serene environment. Everything was more than what we had expected. Staff was very polite, rooms very very clean, wifi was provided free within the resort. The resort was truly boutique style. Loved it!

The minor problem was that the beach was a bit small. But then on a small and private resort you should expect that.

We had a truly unforgettable experience at Zazen Boutique Resort & Spa. The staff were incredibly attentive, polite, and always had a smile on their faces. The hotel, although a little older, was impeccably maintained and the rooms were spotless. The breakfast was exceptional, with a menu to order from and full restaurant service. The location, overlooking the sea, was stunning and the beach was quiet and relaxing. The spa offered professional and high-quality massages. the staff went above and beyond to ensure our every wish was attended to.

Gorgeous boutique hotel. Villas were spacious and comfortable. The morrocan designed environment and tranquil setting is lovely. Highly recommend having dinner & wine here, the food is amazing. So relaxing after a busy day out on jungle safari!

Incredible Food and Hospitality, Tranquil Atmosphere, Beautiful Location

The food at the hotel's restaurant was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options. The hospitality of the staff was top-notch, making us feel welcome and taking care of all our needs. The tranquil atmosphere of the hotel created a peaceful and relaxing environment. The location was perfect, with easy access to a stunning beach and nearby amenities.

The beach in front of the hotel was a bit limited, depending on the tides and weather. It would have been nice to have more space for beach activities.

The hotel owners are thinking about every little detail at this place and its a very familiar situation, since there are not many bungalows!

We were there in November and beach was sometimes a little bit dirty because of the monsum. But the hotel people did the the best they could and cleaned every day.

This boutique resort was recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed. It was at the far end of the beach and therefore a good 10 minute walk to Fisherman Street where most of the restaurants, bars and shops are. The Baht buses are not cheap at all but this is an upmarket resort in some respects so its to be expected I suppose. The resort lived up to our expectations my only suggestion would be, as they have such a great selection of teas on offer in the restaurant it would be a nice touch to add some of these to the room amenities as the tea selection in room was pretty poor.

I had an amazing time at this luxury hotel! The location was absolutely perfect, nestled in lush tropical gardens with a stunning beachfront. I couldn't get enough of the beautiful ocean views right from my room. The service here was top-notch, with room service available 24/7 and a helpful staff who made me feel right at home. The amenities were also impressive, from the relaxing spa and wellness center to the refreshing swimming pool and jacuzzi. The hotel even had its own beach access, allowing me to soak up the sun and enjoy the crystal-clear waters. this place offered nothing short of a true paradise experience.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.
